Record Go is a Spanish car rental company founded in 2002, with a desk inside the Alicante airport terminal (ground floor) and an office right next to Alicante-Terminal railway station, where AVE high-speed trains arrive. The company runs more than 40 offices in Spain, Portugal, Greece and Italy, with a fleet of over 40,000 vehicles. Both Alicante branches have a key drop box for returning the car outside office hours, and extras such as child seats, an additional driver or a GoPad tablet with Wi-Fi and GPS can be added when booking. Reviews are sharply divided: one visitor praises the quick pick-up and hassle-free return, while others complain about pressure to buy extra insurance, a charge for a tiny scratch or a fuel deposit that was not fully refunded.
According to one review, the fuel deposit is refunded once you show the petrol station receipt, so keep it. Given complaints about charges for minor damage, it is worth photographing the car carefully at pick-up and on return.
