Mercadillo de Benalúa is a municipal street market in the Benalúa district of Alicante, set up just behind the Mercado Municipal de Benalúa hall. The stalls fill the block between Carratalá, Alberola and Arquitecto Guardiola streets, and the city council allows up to 307 of them. Fresh fruit and vegetables are the core of the offer, alongside pickles, olives, dried fruit and nuts, eggs and flowers. Some stalls sell clothing, both new and second-hand, as well as footwear. Residents can do much of their shopping in one place, as the adjoining market hall has fishmongers, a butcher's, a bakery and bars.
If Thursday or Saturday is a public holiday, the market is held on the previous working day.
