Marmarela is a club right on the water on the Muelle de Levante in Alicante's port, open by day and by night. During the day it works as a beach club with a pool, loungers and tables with sea views, plus a restaurant serving Mediterranean food; at night it becomes a nightclub with more than four rooms, each with a different atmosphere. The venue takes its cue from Ibiza, playing electronic music, reggaeton and commercial hits, with resident DJs and international guest artists backed by a strong sound and lighting set-up. Reviews most often mention the pool and hen parties, and some also the sea views. Some visitors criticise the door selection and dress code, and one complains about unclear information on promotional tickets for foreign visitors.
Tickets can be bought in advance; one visitor writes that they only found out about promotional tickets on Instagram once inside. ID and dress code are checked at the door, and one reviewer describes being turned away for wearing a tracksuit.
