Restaurante La Mejillonera is a restaurant in Benidorm's old town, on Paseo de la Carretera, open since 1981. The speciality is mussels, served in more than 15 versions with different flavour profiles, alongside paella, rice dishes, seafood and tapas. It is much loved by locals, so there is almost always a queue outside, though visitors say it moves quickly. Half portions come up often in reviews, guests praise the fast service, and one singles out the plant-based paella. There is a terrace, and according to the restaurant's own post its cones of fried fish and seafood are gluten-free.
