A tapas bar in an old rustic house on narrow Carrer Major in Calpe's old town, with colourful tables set out in the lane. The cooking is homemade and the menu fairly short: reviewers praise the pear with goat's cheese and walnuts, morcilla with chickpeas, bacon-wrapped dates, pork ribs with honey, lamb and bread with aioli. Portions are big and the witty waiters advise on how much to order — according to one review, four or five tapas are enough for a couple. According to reviews, dishes are served one at a time, so dinner moves at an easy pace and guests feel as if they were eating in someone's home. It is tucked away in a side street, away from the more touristy restaurants.
Guest favourites: pear with goat's cheese, morcilla (black pudding), bacon-wrapped dates, lamb; portions are big — 4–5 tapas are enough for 2. Open evenings only.
