Restaurante Calentura Bistro is a slightly hidden bistro in Calpe serving Mediterranean and fusion cooking for brunch, lunch and dinner. Its set menu (menú del día) gets the most praise: three starters to share, a main of your choice and a homemade dessert. Visitors single out the scallops, octopus, croquettes, oxtail, tuna tataki, fried fish and cheesecake. It is listed in Calpe's official restaurant guide with the “Peix de Calp” label, and some evenings feature live music. According to reviews, the staff are exceptionally warm; one guest writes that they were allowed to taste several wines before choosing a bottle, and another that they never felt rushed.
