Restaurante Argentino ILPI is an Argentine grill (parrilla) on the Villajoyosa seafront, with the beach on one side and the town's famous colourful houses on the other. It describes itself as the place “where fire meets the sea”, and the menu centres on grilled meat: skirt steak, tomahawk, entrecôte and a mixed grill to share. Visitors also often mention the empanadas, provoleta (grilled cheese), sweetbreads, milanesa and chocotorta for dessert. Some people travel here specifically for the steaks, and dogs are welcome both inside and on the terrace. According to one review, the place was full in the evening and walk-ins were turned away, so booking is a good idea.
